I've always wanted to wrap a bunch of apple twigs and sweetgrasses in wire and then set it on fire. Of course I live in the city, sort of, so that kind of thing is frowned upon. Maybe someday I'll get up the nerve to go have an unauthorized beach fire, take along some baling wire, and create and then destroy and get it all (oh the firelight on the water!) in photographs and video, and even paint, if I was fast enough. And there'd be drumming and dancing and so on. I haven't been to a good bonfire since the late 1970s. I'm glad someone else is enjoying similar experiences, though.
